DMCA & Copyright Policy

1. Overview

AutoFileSearch operates as an automated search engine that indexes publicly accessible file URLs found across the internet. We respect the intellectual property rights of all content creators and copyright holders. This page explains our policy under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and describes how rights holders can request the removal of content that infringes their copyrights.

We do not host, store, or distribute any files directly. All links in our index point to files that are hosted by third parties on their own servers. When a valid DMCA takedown notice is received, we will remove the corresponding URL from our index promptly.

2. How AutoFileSearch Works

Our system uses automated agents and user-submitted queries to discover publicly accessible files on the web. When a file URL is found and verified to be publicly reachable, it is added to our searchable index. We do not copy the file content; we only record the URL, filename, extension, and the page on which the file was found.

If you are a copyright holder and believe a file link in our index infringes your rights, you may submit a takedown request using the process described below.

3. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

To submit a valid DMCA takedown notice, your request must include all of the following information:

  • Your full legal name and contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email address).
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are covered by a single notice, a representative list is acceptable.
  • The exact URL(s) on AutoFileSearch that you believe infringe your copyright.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

4. Where to Send Your Notice

Please send your completed DMCA takedown notice to our designated Copyright Agent via the contact form on our Contact page, with the subject line: DMCA Takedown Request.

Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will act expeditiously to:

  • Remove or disable access to the infringing URL(s) from our index.
  • Notify the user who submitted the search query that located the file, if applicable.
  • Send you a confirmation of the removal.

5. Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed due to a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. A valid counter-notice must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of a federal district court in your area.

6. Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, AutoFileSearch has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also limit access to our service and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.

7. Abuse Warning

Please be aware that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability for damages. Do not submit false DMCA notices.
